What happens if a clean doesn’t go ahead?

Most Auntybnb cleans go ahead without a hitch. But if something prevents us from cleaning your property, here’s what happens.


⚠️ Common reasons a clean might not proceed:

  • A guest is still at the property past checkout

  • Access instructions are missing, incorrect, or keys aren’t available

  • A serious maintenance or safety issue is present (e.g. power outage, burst pipe)

  • Our cleaner cannot enter due to a locked door, alarm system, or obstruction

  • The condition of the property makes it unsafe or unfit to clean


🧼 What Aunty does next:

  • We’ll contact you right away to explain the situation

  • If access becomes possible later that day, we’ll try to reschedule with the same team

  • If not, we’ll coordinate an alternative time or next steps based on your needs

Avoid missed cleans by checking these ahead of time:
Make sure guest checkout instructions are clear, access codes or keys are ready, and the right entry info is saved in your profile.
