How do extra cleaning charges work?

Understand when and why Housekeeping may cost extra, and how you’ll be notified.

Most AuntyStays cleans are straightforward. If your property needs extra time or effort, we’ll flag it and explain why.

💡 When extra charges may apply:

  • Property is especially dirty or has rubbish left throughout

  • Party evidence, food mess, or damage

  • Strong smells, heavy pet hair, or smoking indoors

  • Property requires partial reset or deep re-cleaning

  • Guest overstayed or refused to vacate on time

We’ll always notify you first.
You’ll never be surprised by an extra charge. We’ll explain the situation and send photos before billing anything additional.

✅ What happens if this occurs?

  • Our cleaner will document the issue with photos

  • We’ll notify you before applying any charges

  • The extra time will be billed on top of your regular clean and shown on your invoice

  • If the condition is extreme, we recommend a beyond deep clean ↗ instead
